FAQS
Who do you work with and do you specialize in any areas?
I work with a variety of clients and topics but have the most experience working with college students and young professionals. Areas of specialty are career and transitions, emerging adulthood, adoption, anxiety, depression, family dynamics, romantic obstacles, and trauma.
What is your theoretical orientation?
Theoretically, I practice from an integrative model, where I combine psychodynamic theory, CBT techniques, multi-cultural counseling, and narrative therapy perspectives.
How often will we meet?
Sessions are 45-minutes and occur weekly, at the same time each week. Bi-weekly sessions can be discussed toward the end of treatment before termination. All sessions will take place remotely via a HIPAA-compliant video platform.
How much will it cost? Do you have a Sliding Scale?
Sessions are $150-250/each. I accept Venmo or credit/debit cards. Sliding scale fees can be discussed during the initial consultation.
Do you take insurance?
I currently accept Optum, which includes United Healthcare, Oxford Health Plans, UMR, Oscar, Harvard Pilgrim, and UHC Student Resources, and Aetna. If you would like to use your insurance, please visit my Alma profile to schedule a consultation. Additionally, if you have alternative insurance, I am happy to provide you with a monthly statement so you can seek reimbursement if your insurance provider covers a portion of your “out-of-network” care.
